How Kuwait calculates it

  • Ten days' wage per year for the first five years, then one month per year, for monthly-paid staff.
  • On resignation the Article 53 scale applies: nothing under three years, half from three to five, two thirds from five to ten, and the full amount at ten years or more.
  • Total indemnity is capped at one and a half years' pay.

Rules as of not yet verified. Confirm current entitlements with Kuwait Labour Law (PAM). This calculator is a guide, not legal advice.

How is end-of-service gratuity calculated in Kuwait?

Ten days' wage per year for the first five years, then one month per year, for monthly-paid staff.

Yes. The entitlement is scaled by length of service when the employee resigns, and paid in full on termination.

Yes. Magnar accrues end-of-service continuously per employee under Kuwait rules, so the liability is visible on the balance sheet before anyone leaves, and settles it correctly on the final pay run.
