HCM for Bahrain

HCM software for Bahrain.

Core HR, payroll, attendance and employee self-service in one platform, with Bahrain's social insurance and the monthly end-of-service benefit contribution applied inside the pay run.

Compliance

Bahrain statutory payroll, handled in one pay run.

SIO social insurance

Social Insurance Organisation contributions applied per employee, with Bahraini nationals and expatriate staff each contributed for under their own rates.

Monthly end-of-service benefit

Since 1 March 2024 the expatriate end-of-service benefit is a monthly contribution to a fund administered by the SIO, not a lump sum at exit - so it is a payroll line every month, with the rate stepping up after the first three years of service.

Wage Protection System files

Salary transfer files produced from the pay run for WPS filing, per legal entity.

LMRA and Bahrainisation

Workforce nationality ratios reported live from the same records payroll runs on, so Bahrainisation percentages are tracked against LMRA obligations rather than reconstructed at renewal time.

Multi-entity

Unlimited legal entities with isolated data and their own policies.

Arabic and English

Full right-to-left Arabic across the web and mobile apps.

FAQ

Questions we get about Bahrain.

Does Magnar support Bahrain social insurance contributions?

Yes. Social Insurance Organisation contributions are applied per employee each pay run, with nationals and expatriate staff handled under their respective rules.

How does Bahrain's monthly end-of-service benefit work?

Since 1 March 2024 the end-of-service benefit for expatriate employees is paid monthly into a fund administered by the Social Insurance Organisation, rather than settled as a lump sum when the employee leaves. The rate is lower for the first three years of service and higher afterwards. It is a payroll line every month now, not a provision to true up at exit.

What changed for employers when the EOSB scheme started?

The cost moved from the balance sheet into the pay run. Under the previous regime the liability accrued quietly and was settled on departure; now it leaves the business every month, and the split by length of service has to be applied per employee. Magnar applies the correct rate automatically from each employee's start date rather than relying on someone tracking the three-year boundary.

Can Magnar report Bahrainisation ratios for LMRA?

Yes. Nationality ratios are a live figure taken from the employee records payroll already runs on, so the Bahrainisation percentage is current rather than reassembled when a permit renewal is due.

Can Magnar run payroll for multiple legal entities in Bahrain?

Yes. Magnar is multi-company by design: unlimited legal entities, each with its own payroll calendar, statutory rules, approval workflows and data isolation, all administered from one system and reported on together.

Does Magnar work in Arabic?

Yes. The web application and the employee self-service mobile apps run in English, Arabic (full right-to-left) and Spanish, so each employee works in their own language while HR reports in one.

Can Magnar integrate with our existing ERP?

Yes. Magnar integrates natively with SAP Business One and posts to SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics and Odoo through the Integration Hub, so payroll journals reach the general ledger without re-keying.
