HR & Payroll Solution for

HCM software for Lebanon

Core HR, payroll, attendance and self-service in one platform with the NSSF branches, family allowances and end-of-service indemnity applied per employee. Salaries agreed in dollars and declared in lira, from the same pay run.

Compliance

Lebanese statutory payroll, handled in one pay run.

NSSF, all three branches

Sickness and maternity, family allowances and end-of-service indemnity calculated separately, because each has its own rate and its own wage ceiling rather than one shared base.

End-of-service indemnity

The EOSI branch accrued on the full wage as it is earned, so the liability shows in the accounts before an employee leaves rather than arriving with the final settlement.

Family allowances

Spouse and per-child entitlements applied per employee, including the split where both partners work and are separately registered, which is where these are usually claimed twice.

Dollars and Lebanese Lira together

Salaries contracted in USD while NSSF and tax are declared in LBP - one pay run converts at the rate on the payment date instead of a spreadsheet beside the payroll.

Income tax withheld

Progressive payroll tax deducted each month against the current brackets, with the quarterly return reconciling to what was actually withheld.

Arabic, English and French

All three languages across the web app and the employee mobile app, which is how a Lebanese workforce actually reads its payslip.

FAQ

Questions we get about Lebanon.

Which NSSF branches does payroll need to cover in Lebanon?

Three, and they do not share a base. Sickness and maternity is split between employer and employee and is capped. Family allowances are employer-only and capped at a different figure. End-of-service indemnity is employer-only and runs on the full wage with no ceiling at all. Calculating them off one contribution base is the most common way a Lebanese payroll goes wrong.

How is end-of-service indemnity handled in Lebanon?

It is an NSSF branch rather than a sum worked out when somebody leaves: the employer contributes on the full wage every month, so the entitlement builds as service is earned. Magnar accrues it per employee so the liability is visible in the accounts continuously, and produces the settlement file when a contract ends.

Can Magnar run salaries in USD and declare NSSF in LBP?

Yes. The contract can be held in dollars while contributions and payroll tax are computed in lira at the official rate on the payment date, from the same run. That conversion is where most Lebanese payrolls fall back to a spreadsheet, and it is the part that has to be right for the NSSF declaration to reconcile.

Does Magnar handle family allowances when both spouses work?

Yes. Where both partners are employed and separately registered with NSSF, the entitlement belongs to one registration rather than to both. Magnar applies it per employee record, so the same children are not claimed twice across two payrolls.

What happens to NSSF contributions when an employee turns 64?

Contributions stop at that point and the end-of-service indemnity becomes payable. Magnar tracks the date against each employee record so the change is applied in the right period rather than noticed afterwards.

Does Magnar file the NSSF and tax returns?

It produces the figures those filings are made from: NSSF contributions monthly and the payroll tax return quarterly, each reconciling to what payroll actually withheld. Rates and ceilings move in Lebanon more often than in most markets, so confirm the current figures against NSSF before a filing.

Does Magnar Payroll Generate Statutory Reports for Lebanon?

Magnar Payroll Generates all required Statutory Reports including - R3 - R3-1 - R10 - R6 - R7 - R8 - NSSF Declarations - Etc..
